This listing is for a conversion flywheel to put a 240mm 9 1/2" clutch onto the V12. This works with all V12 cars. This is a button flywheel. It has no teeth.  It works in conjunction with the original automatic flex plate. When installing this on a car which had a borg warner gearbox you will need to change the flex plate to a GM version. This is because the Borg Warner version is not a full disc. Some flywheels can flex under torque. The GM version is a full disc and does not distort.

This flywheel works with a HK9769 clutch. For the V12 application you will need to run a clutch suitable for the power of the car. We stock the TTV cover with organic discs. The standard borg and beck clutch is not suitable.

When you install this flywheel its important to clean the faces of the flex plate and that you run a DTI guage to ensure the flywheel is running true. Because the flex plate is sandwiched between this flywheel and the crank its effectively becoming a spacer. Its important that the flywheel is running straight to avoid premature clutch failure and the engine vibrating. 

This is part of a kit, usually sold as a conversion ring, flywheel and clutch. These days we are no longer able to offer complete Getrag gearbox conversions. We are no longer able to source the gearboxes like we used to. We still support the conversion and can assist you if you can source your own JAGUAR Getrag gearbox either 290 or 265. We suggest you share a picture or contact us prior to purchase to ensure the ring is compatible for your application.
